Every year since 1993, I’ve helped out a terrific organization in my hometown of Madison, Connecticut: the Madison-CT Lions Club. This year, continuing with the tradition, on Saturday, October 24th, two of us from Olde Liberty Insurance – Josue Aponte and Andrew Borner – cooked lunch at the 2017 Madison Harvest Festival for the Lion’s food booth, a concession stand that sells food to raise money for the Lion’s various charities.
The Madison Lions Club conducts a number of area fundraising activities throughout the year to support: Daniel Hand High School, the Connecticut Lions Eye Research Foundation, Lions Low Vision Centers, the FIDELCO Guide Dog Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, local libraries, and a program that provides food baskets for needy Connecticut residents during the holidays.
Olde Liberty Insurance is committed to making our community stronger and supporting worthy causes. A portion of our time and profits are donated to various charities, local community organizations, individuals, and causes around the state of Connecticut.
Despite a wet start to the day attendance grew throughout the day!
